A mix of essays and writings by everyone from Joan Morgan to Luther Campbell to Rev. Calvin Butts. On one hand, the hodgepodge of material is interesting, on the other, this could have used some editing. There are good pieces on issues such as Body Count's "Cop Killer," but they're mixed in with filler such as Spike Lee's favorite hats. A case of trying to be all things to all people? From an interview with Sister Soulja on Larry King Live to an article heralding Vanilla Ice as a genius (!), there's just about something here for everyone. Once you sort through the filler, this makes for some insightful reading.
