Memorial Reception for Laura Gavoor-Detroit, MI

Date: Oct 4 2002 Time: 6:00 pm Comments: While I never had the pleasure of working with Laura, who recently passed away, her impact on Detroit, musically and beyond, is without measure. I stopped by this reception at Submerge to pay my respect and became an unofficial photographer of sorts. Rather than being a solemn event, people came as far away as Japan and France to celebrate her life. With a nice spread of food, live music, and much mixing and mingling, Detroit's music community came together to show their love and appreciation.
