Oct 9 2004 - This was a three day conference geared for students in the University of Wisconsin system. "The purpose of AMSLC is to provide UW System’s best and brightest students of color and economically disadvantaged students with a forum to advance and share their academic experiences by presenting academically superior work in an environment of mutual respect and consideration." Although I've done workshops for them in the past, this time I merely DJed a series of events, including an open mic hosted by Newyorican Poet Willie Perdomo, a listening party for the hip hop group Foreign Exchange, a student protest against high tuition, and an after set. Another great time in Madison.
